On the subject of strange, or unusual (or indeed anykind of) gear-changing pattern on heavy truck gearboxes I'm beginning to get a few coming through and I will post them up bit-by-bit (or cog by cog). This one comes to Biglorryblog from Wim Lagerweij who says: "Hi, here's the old Scania 10-speed gear-shift for the Scania 81, 82, 92, 93 and Scania 111, 112, 113. It's a strange one, the 4 highest gears are mixed up.Yours, Wim."
It also gives me the perfect excuse to post up this cracking shot of a 6x2 R112 shot by
Scania snapper Ingemar Eriksson in 1984--and also challenge you to a Thursday morning pie quiz-- where are those two bridges?!
And talking of cracking shots how about this from the Scania media image bank--also credited to Ingemar (and not as I first thought Bryan Winstanley). A beautiful Centurion..but is it the only and only MASTER Centurion?
